“Trader Joe’s is on its way to Paso Robles — and leaders have officially confirmed its location. The popular grocery store will take up a space at the Golden Hills Plaza, located at the intersection of Highway 46 and Golden Hill Road. Paso Robles economic development manager Paul Sloan made the announcement at a City Council meeting on Feb. 3. “This project was several years in the making, and we’re thrilled to have it now under construction,” he said. The store was set to open up in the plaza on the east side of TJ Maxx, Sloan said. He did not provide a timeline for opening during the meeting. “It’ll be a great addition to the shopping center,” he added.”

The Restaurant at Edna, SLO
|
|
“One of Los Angeles’s best chefs will soon be cooking on the Central Coast. Chef and cookbook author Jeremy Fox will join the team at San Luis Obispo’s Edna, a forthcoming restaurant, cafe, market, and distillery, as a partner and culinary director. Fox will be joined at Edna by Matthew Schaler, who served as executive chef at Fox’s now-closed Birdie G’s.
Edna is set to open in stages: the tasting room and market will open in spring 2026, with the distillery and restaurant to follow in summer. “

“Templeton Feed & Grain plans to build a new store at its original location by the end of the year after the historic San Luis Obispo County structure was destroyed in a massive fire last Fourth of July. The blaze — ignited by fireworks launched by four juveniles — gutted the grain towers and damaged the century-old storefront. The final parts of the badly burned building were torn down by excavators in early February.
Co-owner Rick Jermin said that Templeton Feed & Grain hopes to reopen at its former Main Street site this December. His family has owned and operated the store since 1946. As the business moves through the county’s building and permitting processes, the timeline remains fluid, but county Supervisor John Peschong has been “wonderful” in helping push things along to get reconstruction started as quickly as possible, Jermin told The Tribune.”
